Swimming Instructor

Are you a Level 2 Swim England qualified Swimming Instructor who is hardworking, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high standard lessons? 

This role is open to anyone who currently holds a Swim England Level 2 in Teaching Swimming and is interested in joining the brand-new swim school at the University of Brighton on a causal contract. We plan to launch our lessons and the lessons will run on a termly basis covering Stages 1 to 7 throughout. 

 Purpose of Job:

To teach swimming in accordance with the Swim England stages and University programTo continually assess swimmersTo communicate with Swim School Coordinator  

Job Specific Duties:

Teach swimming using the schedule provided by the Swim School CoordinatorContinuously assess swimmers using the tablet providedMark any swimmers ready to move to the next stageLiaise with the Swim School Coordinator regarding any issues or concerns Set up equipment before lesson and ensure it is safe to useSet down equipment at the end of the lessonEnsure poolside is clean and tidy during and after lessonsGeneral supervision during the lesson (lifeguard will be present on poolside)
