WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Senior Systems Engineer for JLR's ADAS function (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) you’ll have the opportunity to design and develop the next generation of Driver Assistance and Automation technology (AAD). You’ll get to form part of a valued, collaborative and diverse team of Engineers who are motivated by making customers’ lives simpler and safer.
Our team work collaboratively with industry leading partners to deliver the Products and end-to-end systems that are shaping our automated driving future, in a new era of modern luxury, and this role will be key to shaping and delivering the next generation of these systems and beyond.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Drive technical alignment and integration across all disciplines to ensure the scope of feature or component is delivered, and that the solution being developed is fit for the intended purpose. Ensure that a complete and coherent set of systems engineering artefacts are delivered to the right quality level to achieve program milestones. Ensure that all legal and quality activities required by the Systems Engineers in the department are completed on time and to the required quality level. Support the resolution of complex, cross-functional and cross-Domain issues. Support the development of Architecture Concepts for future features and so that the needs of the AAD Products.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You will need to be an experienced practitioner, as per Engineering Council definitions, in all aspects of systems engineering: concept design, customer and systems requirement authoring, logical and solution architecture design and legal and quality assessments (Functional Safety (FuSa)), Cyber Security, General Data Privacy (GDPR) and Functional Failure Analysis (FFA).
You'll be competent in all aspects of systems engineering: concept design, requirements authoring, logical and solution architecture, quality and legal activities. Have the ability to develop conceptual designs for new vehicle features and systems. Have the ability to resolve complex systems engineering problems with the ability to effectively explain complex ideas, confidently presenting these to stakeholders. Have an understanding of Functional Safety (ISO-26262), Cyber Security, GDPR and Quality techniques. Possess knowledge and practice of Agile techniques.
