Job Description Systems Engineering and Verification Opportunities - Submarines Full Time / Part Time 5 Days On-Site - Hybrid working may be agreed. Opportunities in Derby An exciting opportunity has arisen for Systems & Verifications Engineers to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. Our Systems Engineering and Verification Engineers are responsible for ensuring oversight of our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. This is an integration role where you will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements. It a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you’ll be doing: You will interface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements; including business, technical customers and partners. Set the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for an Engineering Programme through the relevant management plans. Ensure sufficient rigor is put into requirements validation and verification, to remove technical risk. Develop product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan. Manage the creation of substantiation evidence, clearance/acceptance documentation that meets the demand for the project. Be the point of contact within the project to support and coach the team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviours within the project. Have a strong understanding of Systems Engineering. Experience in the Nuclear industry is preferred but not essential. Experience of working with relevant SE software applications eg DOORS / CAMEO Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
