The job itself

Teaching Assistant (EHCP support) level 1

Bubwith Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in the classroom supporting a Reception class child with an EHCP, to start as soon as possible. The position is fixed term for the duration of the EHCP.

The ideal applicants will be willing to work with children within a school environment and be able to demonstrate the competencies detailed in the employee specification.

The successful candidates will ideally have knowledge/experience of SEND – particularly in supporting pupils with neuro-divergent conditions and physical/medical needs, be a good communicator and able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.

The work pattern may include support across lunchtimes but is typically 1pm to 3:30pm (12.5 hrs). Some flexibility may be required and availability to cover staff absence etc.
