Your Role As a Technical Designer, you will act as a support in all aspects to our studio members within one of our Workplace teams. You should be passionate about developing the best details to realise the creative potential for each project. This will include working with a wide range of styles and materials. A strong attention to detail and outstanding technical acumen is required and joinery detailing experience is preferred for these complex design projects. An ability to work collaboratively and excellent organisational skills are a must. You must be both self-starter and team player able to organise multiple consultants and trades towards common design solutions in timely fashion. What You Will Do Support the team in collaboration with the Design Manager and Lead Designer Support the team in detailed technical development of design and follow through Provide active technical development of the design and technical input during the preparation and execution of construction documents Mentor and teach junior members of the team Assist in the technical aspects of the project team and oversee all phases Support the design team towards a cohesive and rational technical solution which best meets the client brief and conform to the project brief and is technically, legally and financially responsible Work with the Technical Director to conform with of current building legislation Your Qualifications An undergraduate or Master degree in Architecture 5 years of experience in practice Significant, demonstrable experience of leading large teams to deliver projects through all stages including Construction Administration Ability to create positive relationships with outside design firms and corporate client and stakeholders â experience advising executives in global professional services and financial services firms Experience facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders to reach consensus Must be highly proficient in Revit and Autocad Experience in mentoring and developing junior employees Experience with international projects an advantage This job description reflects the core activities of the role although there will be changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time.
