The Role

As a Technical Training Instructor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality training for both internal and external customers. You’ll also support the development and accuracy of technical publications, and work with engineering teams to report and track faults, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with Product Development, Operations, and Service Management to gather essential information for training materials. You’ll attend meetings on behalf of the Training Manager, identifying any training-related risks or implications to ensure training remains effective and aligned with business needs.

Your responsibilities will also include:

Managing key and cryptographic material, including maintaining accurate running accounts Developing training courses for new equipment and services delivered by Team Aurora, ensuring DSAT process compliance Creating and maintaining high-quality training for both internal and external customers Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify the most practical and cost-effective training solutions Complying with applicable QHSE, Fire, Human Resources, and Security policies

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh.

Essential Experience of the Technical Training Instructor

Good communication skills. Be able to work proactively and flexibly within a small team. A good understanding of Data Communications and RF Communication Techniques. Experience of working alongside UK Military Customers.

Qualifications for the Technical Training Instructor

Must hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PLLS or equivalent). BTEC/OND /HNC in an Engineering Discipline ideally.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
