This opportunity offers a compelling entry point into the dynamic world of Cyber & Security, providing a meticulously designed program to foster your growth and development. If you're driven by curiosity, creativity, and ambition, this role is designed for you to not only belong but to truly thrive.

Advantages for Candidates:

  • Comprehensive Training & Support: From day one, you'll be immersed in job-based, bespoke training, ensuring you're fully equipped for your responsibilities. This program is built to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a significant impact.
  • Diverse and Meaningful Experience: The 2-year Explorer Programme is structured to offer both depth and breadth of experience through three distinct eight-month rotations. This allows you to explore different facets of Cyber & Security, broadening your understanding and skill set.
  • Critical Impact and Innovation: The Chief Security Office is at the forefront of protecting the bank, its clients, and colleagues. You’ll be engaged in challenging and continuously evolving work, defending against both external and internal threats. This role is crucial in navigating a world of constant change and emerging challenges, offering a chance to be part of vital security initiatives.
  • Learning from the Best: This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a leading institution renowned for its strength in Cyber Security. You'll be collaborating with and learning from seasoned experts in the field.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Degree in Any Area: While a strong degree is required, it doesn't need to be in a specific technology field. This opens the door for motivated individuals from diverse academic backgrounds to enter the Cyber & Security space.
  • Interest in Technology & Business Acumen: The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in technology and a knack for bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. Your ability to translate ideas into tangible impact will be highly valued.
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Please be aware that this specific graduate program (2026 Technology Cyber & Security Graduate Programme) does not offer sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK full-time for the duration of the program (August 2026 - August 2028).
  • Future Sponsorship Limitations: It is important to note that the Technology Cyber & Security business area is currently out of scope for sponsorship at the conclusion of the graduate program. This means that obtaining a Skilled Worker Visa from the organization in this specific area, following the graduate program, is not anticipated at this time.
  • Role Expectations: As an Analyst, you'll be expected to perform tasks to a high standard, drive continuous improvement, and potentially develop in-depth technical knowledge. Depending on the specific role within the program, you may also be involved in leading and supporting teams, or focusing on developing individual technical expertise and acting as an advisor.
  • Barclays Values & Mindset: A commitment to the Barclays Values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, Stewardship) and the Barclays Mindset (Empower, Challenge, Drive) is expected from all colleagues.

This Explorer Programme represents an exceptional opportunity for ambitious graduates to gain invaluable experience in a critical and rapidly evolving field. It’s a chance to contribute to significant security efforts while developing a strong foundation for a successful career in Cyber & Security.
