As an instructor, youâll play a vital role in training Royal Navy students in External Communications and Cryptographic Maintenance, delivering hands-on instruction to Phase 3 CIS(T) Maintainers within the Weapons Engineering department. Youâll be responsible for teaching the maintenance of critical communication and cryptographic hardware, ensuring students gain the technical skills they need. Reporting to the Training Delivery Team Leader (Sensors/CIS), youâll deliver high-quality, safe, and consistent training using best practices and harmonised approaches that support excellence across the Weapons Engineering training area. Maintaining electrical equipment used for training Sharing and applying best practices across establishments to enhance training quality. Standardising training systems and processes across all Royal Navy Weapons Engineering training locations. What weâre looking for: Experience of maintenance of Royal Navy Communications systems. Experience of maintenance of Cryptographic systems Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of training. HNC in electronics (minimum) or equivalent Military weapon engineering communication systems or equivalent experience would be desirable Any previous teaching/training experience would be beneficial Proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace Ability to gain UK SC clearance. About Selborne Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN.
