Transport Administrator Customer Delivery Hub

ABOUT THE ROLE Our Customer Delivery Operations are a vital part of our business. Here at the Partnership, our Transport Administrator will take ownership of the department's operational success by assisting site management with daily tasks and project work, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and using your customer experience to be an ambassador of John Lewis and Partners. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.00 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.00 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. At a glance: Due to the nature of this role you will be required to be over 18 years old to apply Salary: The salary for this role starts from £26,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. Position: This position is a Permanent position Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday alternate weeks: 05.45 - 13.45 Week 1 13.30 - 21.30 Week 2 Bank Holiday and Sunday work is not required for this position. Location: Bessemer Road (Customer Delivery Hub) As our Transport administrator, you will: Ensure compliance with the Road Transport Working Time Directive, Domestic Regulations, and EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations. Maintain and update in an accurate and timely manner the vehicle maintenance planner. Manage vehicle defects to ensure roadworthiness of the Fleet. To ensure all vehicle and driver records are maintained in accordance with regulations. Support resource management of people and vehicles in line with the Operators Licence margin. Promote and adhere to all Legal, Health & Safety and Customer Delivery Hub operating procedures. Understand and adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Assist with general administration daily tasks. Be a brand ambassador, delivering an outstanding end to end customer experience. Support and champion business strategies and initiatives including Partnership Plans, CSR, Health and Wellbeing and local charity. Regularly undertakes self-auditing within the Transport Operation to maintain legal compliance. Adhere to Health and Safety policy and guidance. Report all accidents and near misses to your Line Manager to adhere to Health & Safety Legislation. Follow the recommended John Lewis Partnership manual handling and mechanical handling instruction. Essential: Experience of working in an administrative role. Previous experience of data processing and inputting. Excellent communication skills (verbal and systemic). Excellent organisation and planning skills.
