• Participating in a cyclical tree cutting program to manage vegetation around overhead electricity distribution networks.
• Prioritizing safety in all activities, evaluating, preparing, and executing tree cutting works on diverse sites.
• Playing a critical role in storm response, supporting lines teams in restoring power during adverse weather events.
• Contributing directly to minimizing power cut risks and ensuring public safety.

What SSE is Looking For: Essential Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• Proven Arboricultural Experience: Previous experience in tree cutting, forestry, or arboriculture is essential. Similar related experience will also be considered.
• Relevant Certifications: Holding NPTC certificate units for chainsaw use and a qualification or certificates including NPTC UA are mandatory.
• Adaptability and Drive: Enthusiasm, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are key. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
