Job Title: Verdi IT Separation Lead Business Function: Unilever M&A Team Location: 100VE Work-Level: 2C Background Unilever undertakes numerous acquisitions and divestments each year to evolve its portfolio and grow its business globally. The Global M&A Integration team was established to drive value creation and value protection across all functions from our acquisitions and disposals. The Global M&A Integration team is supporting all M&A activities, leading the integration and separation work on each transaction. Project Verdi will separate Unilever global Ice Cream business. The separated Ice Cream Company, with it well-known brands, geographical reach and Ice Cream estates, will become the world largest Ice Cream Company, generating revenue of over €8 billion (as of 2024). JOB PURPOSE Maximize value delivered from M&A by implementing the framework for a successful separation of IT within Project Verdi. Lead all IT Separation Workstreams, ensuring alignment with cross-functional Separation teams and IT Establishment. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the IT Separation Workstream of Project Verdi, which includes Logical Separation, Separation Engagement, Cyber Security and alignment with Digital & Technology teams. Responsibilities include: Stakeholder management and communications, such as Ice Cream Establishment, Verdi, Digital & Technology. Programme management e.g. managing all IT Separation workstreams, project reporting, project meetings, project documentation. Managing Cyber Security Workstream, ensuring Cyber team complete required activities; Cyber risk assessment, resourcing, Cyber planning. Risk management and point of escalation. Partnering Ice Cream IT Establishment team e.g. tech assessments for Day 0 systems. Partnering Digital & Technology teams to ensure alignment and lock step on both Ice Cream Separation and Unilever transformation projects. Own Verdi IT budget and ongoing tracking. Vendor management. Input into IT TSA Transitional Service Agreement requirements and costs. Ensure continuity of service for Ice Cream throughout Separation and TSA. Support knowledge transfer between Unilever and separate Ice Cream business as needed. Document best practices and integrate into M&A ways of working and documentation e.g. M&A Playbook. ALL ABOUT YOU Experience and qualifications required: Relevant years of experience including exposure to finance / technology / supply chain / operational roles. Of which M&A separation experience would be a distinct advantage. Strong financial, analytical and operational skills. Strong program management skills. Strong commercial/negotiating skills. Experience of dealing with external consultancies. Location  In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends. Relocation to the UK Please be aware if you are applying for this role from outside the UK, if successful, your application will be treated as a self-initiated Change Location Outside of Country (CLOC) transfer.
