An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Verification & Validation Engineer to join the Defence Mature Programmes product portfolio, supporting Combat, Transport, and Naval products within the Engineering, Technology & Safety (ET&S) capability in Bristol. In this role, you will work across multiple high-profile Defence programmes, contributing to the verification and validation of advanced power and propulsion solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems meet stringent operational and safety requirements, supporting their integration into complex military platforms. What You Will Be Doing With this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to: Act as the interface between external and internal stakeholders, eliciting and validating all stakeholder requirements, including business and technical customers and partners. Set the Systems Engineering, Verification, and Certification approach for an engineering programme by developing the product verification strategy, structured verification plan, and product development plan. Establish and manage an appropriate Requirements, Design Rationale Evidence, Design Definition, and Verification Information (R-E-D-V) structure that integrates information across all relevant areas (Customer, Business, System, Sub-System, and Component) for the project. Serve as the point of contact for project teams, providing support and guidance on Systems Engineering, Validation, and Verification activities to ensure best practices are applied. Who We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification Experience in a relevant domain is preferred but not essential. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
