POSITION SNAPSHOT Job Title: Workday Analyst Location: Manchester Contract Type: Permanent The Role: As the Workday Analyst, you will work closely with the PZ People functions globally, ensuring the Workday platform is optimised for seamless user experience while maintaining compliance with audit standards. You’ll be the Workday SME, driving system enhancements, data integrity, and process improvements to support efficient and effective People operations. Reporting to the Head of Global People Operations, you will work closely with Regional HRSS leads, HR Business Partners, Reward and Talent teams, and Group IT, ensuring Workday delivers value to the business and People teams. This is an opportunity to take ownership of Workday day-to-day operations and enhancements, making a tangible impact in a global organisation. Accountabilities: Manage Workday day-to-day operations and annual cycle of people events in Workday, ensuring data quality, system integrity, and performance. Provide technical support to Global People teams, resolving issues and managing Workday Help Case tickets within SLAs. Administer the Workday Security Model, ensuring its maintenance and regular audits in collaboration with stakeholders. Lead the design, build, and deployment of new Workday functionality, enhancements, and configurations. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise new business requirements, while managing expectations and timeframes for Workday functionality and delivery. Coordinate and deliver continuous improvement changes and BAU fixes through a structured change release cycle, maintaining compliance with quality and audit standards. Create and maintain Workday reports and dashboards to support People Function and business needs through the relevant request framework. Stay current with Workday trends and best practices, managing release cycles, pre-release preparation, and impact assessments. Support planning and implementation of Workday release changes, assessing mandatory updates and evaluating optional features for adoption. Optimise Workday configuration using a global-first approach to process design and data management to ensure Workday delivers value. Support internal projects and annual People events, identifying Workday impacts, recommending solutions, and conducting impact assessments. Ensure system changes are rigorously tested before deployment, maintaining stability and functionality. Maintain and update the Workday Operating Procedures manual, covering system maintenance, audits, and the security model. Contribute to the Workday development roadmap that aligns with the People strategy and evolving business needs. Key Skills & Qualifications: Strong post-implementation Workday technical experience in a global organization. Proven ability to configure and optimize Workday HCM modules (HCM + Recruiting/Compensation/Absence). Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting complex data. Ability to create dashboards and management information reports effectively. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities, managing expectations and meeting deadlines. Deep understanding of the employee lifecycle, HR functions, and the role of the HR system in developing the HR service. Strong problem-solving skills, using creativity and flexibility to develop innovative solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage stakeholders effectively. Adaptability in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Understanding of digital compliance, data security, and audit processes, including support for HR administration auditing and data handling policies.
