Job Description: Young Persons Clinical Psychologist BACP Accredited / NCS Accredited membership Nationwide â remote Salary up to £60,000 based on FT hours. Part-time hours also available pro rata. Permanent Purpose: The Young Persons Clinical/Counselling Psychologist role will provide high quality, safe and effective talking therapy support to Bupa customers aged between 11 to 17 years old. The role will involve the following: To provide high-quality therapeutic care to children and adolescents, which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes. To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention. To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client and their family. To provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference. To be able to communicate effectively to share information with key agencies and systems around the child â for example, school/college, local authority, parents and carers, etc. To adhere to Bupa case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team. To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals. To adhere to local and national policies and guidance on safeguarding children and adults and be particularly sensitive to some of the unique safeguarding concerns regarding children and consent. To provide risk assessment and management planning, with support from the senior clinical leadership team, as and when required. To provide signposting or onwards referral as and when required. To provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required. To provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations, when required. To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, promotion of mental wellbeing guidance via remote presentation, workshop events and training as and when required. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa service policies and procedures. To attend regular clinical supervision, via individual and group provision, and monthly team meetings to support clinical practice, in line with BUPA and the practitioner professional body guidelines. To work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences. Qualifications & Training Essential Professional doctorate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society. Health and Care Professions Council registration as a qualified Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. General child and adolescent mental health experience. At least 1 year post-qualification clinical experience working with children and/or adolescents. Desirable Training and accreditation in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological relevance. Corporate experience. Excellent leadership and management skills. Key Skills & Experience: General child and adolescent mental health specialism experience. Corporate experience and business understanding. Up-to-date CPD. IT Skills including proficient on Microsoft Systems as well as electronic medical record systems. Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time scales. Proven experience of customer service and client liaison. Excellent application of clinical knowledge. Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Experience of managing own caseload, working towards individual targets and outcomes. Be able to demonstrate high standards in written and oral communication. Diverse and varied clinical experience to draw upon.
