The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was established in 1991 to create a new post-Cold War era in Central and Eastern Europe. We are now more important than ever in three continents, and we must move further towards the goal of a "market-oriented economy and the promotion of private and entrepreneurial initiatives."
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is owned by 69 countries as well as the European Union and the European Investment Bank.
