In North America, we operate an impressive network of 110 short line and regional railroads, extending across 43 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces, encompassing over 13,000 track-miles. Our UK/Europe operations include prominent entities such as the largest rail-centric intermodal logistics franchise in the U.K. and the leading provider of heavy haul freight rail services. We also provide vital regional rail solutions in Continental Europe.
Our commitment to facilitating efficient rail solutions extends beyond tracks. Our subsidiaries and joint ventures play a vital role in rail service provision at over 30 major ports, facilitating rail-ferry connectivity between the U.S. Southeast and Mexico, delivering transload services, and offering essential railcar switching and repair services.
