Middlesex University London is a public research university located in Hendon, northwest London, England. The name of the university is taken from its location in the historic county of Middlesex.
The history of the university can be traced back to 1878, when its founding institution, St Katharine's College was established in Tottenham as a female teacher training college. After merging with several other institutes, the university merged into its current form in 1992. It is one of the post-1992 universities.
Middlesex has more than 19,000 students in London and more than 37,000 students worldwide. The university has established student exchange links with 100 universities in 22 countries/regions in Europe, the United States and the world.
