The Academic Account Manager has a dual responsibility.

Responsible for growing new and renewal revenue in his region Responsible for the promotion of the use of Ansys simulation tools in universities for research and teaching activities.

The Academic Account Manager manages a territory for which he establishes and maintains regular contact with key university advocates, IT groups and Professors to ensure the sale and adoption of Ansys tools. The Academic Accoutn Manager works closely with Ansys teams to reach both revenue and adoption goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Execute the Sales and Adoption Plan for their region

Develop and execute a plan for increasing adoption across the region including on-site and online meetings and events, conference attendance and any other activity that fosters the long-term academic use of Ansys tools in research and teaching Achieve the quarterly and annual revenue goals for the territory Closely work with Ansys Customer Excellence, Academic Development and Corporate Development teams to ensure efficient and scalable technical support provided to academic customers

Drive the territory academic revenue strategy and its implementation

Define and maintain a list of priority universities for the adoption of Ansys Campus-Wide Solutions Maximize revenue sales, multi-year and new business deals Define and implement a strategy to ensure constant new business opportunities Build account map and development plans for strategic universities in the territory Closely work with Sales Operations to ensure swift licenses renewals while looking for growth opportunities in current user base Provide timely activity reports and revenue forecasts, as well as long-term revenue pipeline

Champion the inclusion of Ansys in Research activities

Define and maintain a list of priority research groups for the adoption of of Ansys Organise and attend events to ensure that Ansys is used in key research groups and minimize or even remove usage from competitive tools Identify opportunities to deploy the full portfolio of Ansys tools in key research groups Maintain, with the Academic Program team, key relationships with priority research groups

Champion the the inclusion of Ansys in Curriculum and Student activities

Define and maintain a list of priority universities for the adoption of of Ansys in curriculum Organise a constant number of presentations showcasing the Ansys Academic Program to faculty and students (demand generation events) Ensure that Ansys is included in curriculum on a regular basis, securing steady adoption of the full porfolio in new and existing courses Join and participate in activities of influential groups (e.g IEEE, SEFI) Manage student team and Student Ambassador activities, ensuring that key student teams have access to Ansys products and training. Ensure that the student teams contacts are leveraged to find new adoption opportunities

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 year of sales experience Basic knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices Excellent selling skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Professional appearance and presentation required At least 50% travel to universities required

OTHER INFORMATION

Engineering degree or equivalent training in engineering strongly preferred Proven/documented sales ability Heavy phone usage Duties may be modified by the company as appropriate
