About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen within The Faculty of Education, Society and Creative Industries for an Academic Tutor in Film and Television Production. Working predominantly in our Media Centre building this position will support our provision across a range of Film and Media production modules, including high end television production, independent filmmaking, scriptwriting and working on set.
We are seeking a versatile Academic Tutor who will be required to teach across a range of Film and Media production modules, including High End television production, Independent Filmmaking and Scriptwriting. Working predominantly in the David Puttnam Media Centre you will deliver key content across multiple undergraduate modules and will ideally have current experience of work in the media industry across film and television production.
You will play a key role in planning and delivering sessions to our undergraduate Film and Media production students and will need to demonstrate an awareness of current industry trends and consider how they can be integrated into our curriculum.
What you can bring
The successful candidate will have experience of film and media production roles and of working with students on industry or degree level media production projects. You will have a knowledge of the North East film and media production industry and have worked to a high level in production roles. You will have experience of working with Higher Education projects and ideally of securing funding for joint projects.
