About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen within The Faculty of Education, Society and Creative Industries for a Senior Lecturer in Film and Media. Working predominantly in the David Puttnam Media Centre you will lead multiple undergraduate modules and will ideally have experience of programme leadership and the technical experience needed to deliver Film and Media production modules focusing on key production specialisms such as camera operation, video editing techniques and studio techniques.The candidate will ideally have experience of postgraduate programmes and working with accrediting bodies to secure industry level support for programmes. You will have experience delivering academic content across a range of academic disciplines and display evidence of your commitment to research and/or knowledge exchange within academic institutions, a PhD level qualification is also desirable.

You will have experience in curriculum leadership at both modular and programme levels, enabling you to shape and enhance academic delivery. You can bring a strong track record of leading research projects within film and media, contributing to innovation and scholarly development in these areas. You will have the capacity to teach highly technical subjects such as broadcast media production and single-camera film production, ensuring students gain practical, industry-relevant skills. In addition, you can bring expertise in developing excellent teaching and learning materials across a wide range of subject areas, creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences
