About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Analyst to join our Environment and Sustainability Department (ESD) team. In this role, you will support the Bank’s Environmental and Social Policy (ESP) commitments, focusing on environmental and social appraisal, monitoring, and reporting across various projects and sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Support the assessment of project environmental and social risks and risks, and ESP compliance. Support the assessment of project alignment with the Paris Agreement and green finance attribution. Support the alignment of projects with the ESP and monitor implementation. Support supply chain due diligence including supplier risk screening and data management. Conduct research, review documents and strategies, and perform technical analyses and appraisals. Assist in data management, monitoring outputs, and contributing to internal and external publications. Coordinate meetings and events and interact with stakeholders both within the Bank and externally. Contribute to improving internal processes, including data collection and automation. Adhere to the Bank’s Behavioural Competencies and Corporate Behaviours.

What We Are Looking For

A degree in environmental and/or social sciences, economics, engineering, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of environmental and social risks and international standards (e.g., EBRD Environmental and Social Requirements, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, Paris Agreement). Familiarity with financing instruments and sector-specific policies. Understanding of scientific, economic, and political dimensions of environmental and social issues. Effective time management, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages of EBRD countries of operation are advantageous. Experience in a multicultural environment and building effective working relationships.
