Are you ready to kickstart an exciting career in renewable energy? We're on the lookout for 10 dedicated, hands-on problem-solvers to join our offshore service technician apprenticeship program. Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > UK Offshore Apprentices

As part of this mission, our Offshore Service Apprenticeship Program offers individuals the chance to enter a rapidly growing industry, work with cutting-edge technology, and contribute to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities Your main responsibilities will be:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on offshore wind turbines Develop mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills Work at heights and in offshore environments, handling complex equipment safely Plan maintenance tasks, ensuring the necessary tools, spares, and materials are prepared Troubleshoot turbine components and determine the best repair or replacement solutions

Qualifications

Academic Requirements: Scottish Highers in Mathematics and/or Physics OR equivalent qualifications, or relevant vocational certifications Location Requirement: You must live within a 50-mile radius of Montrose or be willing to relocate Other Requirements: Ability to work at heights, offshore, and in various weather conditions

Our intensive 3-year apprenticeship program allows you to earn while you learn, combining academic study, safety and technical training, and hands-on offshore experience. Salary & Financial Benefits:

Training & Career Development:

Year 1: HNC in Electrical Engineering & Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations – NESCOL / Aberdeen College (Altens Campus). Years 2 & 3: Practical training across all Vestas UK wind farms working offshore on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation & EAL Diploma in Engineering (SCQF Level 7). Career progression opportunities post-apprenticeship (Offshore Service Technician role).

Career Progression: After completing the program, you’ll be fully qualified to work as an Offshore Service Technician, either based at a specific site or as part of a traveling pool supporting Vestas wind farms nationwide.
