This is an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Officer to play a key technical role in managing the operational compliance and administration of apprenticeship programmes. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring full adherence to The Department for Education (DfE) funding regulations, statutory standards, and internal policies. With expert knowledge of apprenticeship systems and regulations, the Apprenticeship Officer will deliver high-quality support to stakeholders, maintain accurate records, and implement processes that uphold compliance and optimise programme delivery.
Main Responsibilities
Compliance Oversight & Process Management – Oversight and management of the end-to-end compliance processes and administration of the apprenticeship provision, ensuring processes align with The Department for Education (DfE) regulations and internal quality standards.Regulatory Expertise – Maintain comprehensive knowledge of The Department for Education (DfE) funding rules, Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) requirements, and statutory regulations, applying this expertise to ensure apprenticeship programmes meet all current legislative and funding obligations.Systems Management & Development – Manage and develop apprenticeship platforms (e.g., Aptem, Apprenticeship Service, Learning Records Service) to maintain accurate learner records, optimise functionality, and implement processes that support compliance.Stakeholder Support & Training – Provide expert guidance and targeted training to key stakeholders on compliance processes, funding rules, and system functionality, ensuring consistent application of compliance processes and fostering a culture of regulatory awareness.Compliance Monitoring & Audit – Conduct regular compliance audits, identifying risks, implementing, and monitoring corrective actions, and ensuring robust data management to safeguard funding and programme integrity.Data Management Maintain accurate information in the delivery of apprenticeships data across the University including the Individualised Learner Record (ILR)Closing Date: 25 Apr 2025
