You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your way.What youll do:Ensure stock control and rotation procedures are maintainedComplete all audit and quality standards documentation as requiredEnsure all foods are prepared according to standard recipe and production schedulesAssist with the production of all foods necessary for patients, visitor, and staff food services throughout Fortius hospitalPrepare special diets for staff and patients as requested by the Fortius sites nominated clientAdhere to all legislation, Client, and Company policy in the provision of patient meal serviceAssist in the preparation of all meal services at required times to company standards and client satisfactionPrepare meals when necessary, including salads, using the ‘Food Standards package as a minimum standardAssist management with planning menus, rotas, orders, receiving, checking, and storing deliveries as requestedAssist in the service of meals when necessaryMaintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in food preparation and service areas, adhering to Health and Safety regulationsAssist in stocktaking and ensure security of stores during all working hoursKeep all working areas and surfaces clean and tidy at all times, especially at the end of the day/shiftEnsure correct storage and disposal of all food and non-food itemsAssist in the training of staff and supervision of standardsEnsure security of all establishments provisions, equipment, and utensils at all timesWash crockery, cutlery, and equipment used in meal services within the kitchen, including using automated dishwashing equipmentCarry out any reasonable requests made by the Hospital/Catering management teamWhat you bring:NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years experience as a chefStrong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cookingAbility to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchenClear, respectful communication and a strong team spiritWhat we offer:Working at Sodexo isnt just a job — its a chance to make a difference every day.
