Salary: Starting from £41,511 to £44,711 per annum (pro rated for 22.2 hours per week £24,906.60 to £26,826.60 per annum)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Legal Services Section, providing a joint legal service to Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council for a solicitor, barrister or legal executive with knowledge and experience primarily in employment law to join the Litigation and Regulatory team, reporting to the Senior Lawyer and Deputy Monitoring Officer. The team deals with a wide variety of areas including employment, housing, criminal and civil litigation, planning and licensing. As well as providing employment advice, you will also assist the team in dealing with general litigation matters, researching and analysing legislation, advising on its interpretation and providing innovative, proactive and pragmatic advice to Officers and Members of both Councils.

We are looking for a positive, driven and innovative professional with excellent analytical and research skills, who is a good team player, self-motivated and has the ability to give clear, accurate and practical legal advice.
