The School of Engineering is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Associate Technician to join our Technical Services team. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative technical support team, providing essential services to staff, students, and visitors within the School. You will assist in delivering high-quality teaching and research support by managing equipment, maintaining asset registers, and ensuring safety compliance. As an Associate Technician you can expect to be involved in:
Providing technical support to customers under supervisionOperating basic equipment and performing straightforward maintenanceAssisting colleagues and students, in the work area with the preparation of equipment and supply of consumables for scheduled activities Understand, promote and apply relevant health and safety procedures ensuring they are followed at all timesWhat will you bring to the role?
Hold GCSEs, NVQ Level 1 or equivalent qualifications/experience Experience in preparing clear and accurate documentationGood IT skills and experience of working with basic software and hardware configurationsKnowledge of basic safety regulations & proceduresAs a member of our team, you can expect a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and wellbeing.
