ABOUT THE ROLE As a Waitrose Branch Manager you'll ensure that every customer that visits your shop has an exceptional shopping experience and use your outstanding leadership skills to inspire and develop your team of Partners. You'll contribute to the Partnership's overall performance by being a positive role model for delivering outstanding Partner-led customer service that is distinctively Waitrose, passionate Partners serving food lovers. Helping to maximise every sales opportunity and commercial result. . Additional Information The pay range for this role will increase to £50,000 - £75,000 from the 1st April 2025. This role is full time, including every other Saturday, and 1 in 4 Sundays. The interviews for this role will take place on Friday 4th April at our Bracknell Head Office. Key Responsibilities Heading up one of our shops, you'll be responsible for: Lead and empower your team to act with authority and accountability. Helping them to reach their full potential, both as a team and individually. Ensure consistently high levels of availability and merchandising, helping to drive commercial results. Deliver an efficient, legal and secure operation for the entire shop. Commit to the delivery of the Partnership's Diversity & Inclusion strategy - recruiting and developing a diverse team. Ensure the health and wellbeing of Partners so they can be themselves in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Be an ambassador for the Partnership and its values through exceptional communication and engagement with your customers, local business groups, community leaders and other Partners. Embed change consistently and effectively. Essential skills/experience you'll need Able to demonstrate an innate passion for and understanding of Retail. Experience in a fast-paced customer centric leadership role, responsible for developing large teams and driving sales, profit and service targets. A proven track record of successful identification and delivery of commercial opportunities and outcomes. Experience for continuous improvement ideas and implementation with the ability to use data and insights to develop a long term strategy. Experience of stakeholder management, and influencing and persuasion skills to support trade in your shop. Regulatory Compliance Management. Desirable skills/experience you may have Personal Licence Holder. Food Hygiene Level 3. Strong understanding and experience of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and disciplinary and grievance.
