About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join Nominet on a fixed-term basis to support a significant change project. This position will play a crucial role in designing future processes and system requirements that align with our strategic business goals.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

Successful delivery of business analysis, requirements, process design and documentation to support assigned projects and programmes. Analyse current critical business processes across several key activities and help document as necessary. Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement with current processes. Engage with key stakeholders across the Customer, Technology and Corporate Services teams to understand current process and capture future requirements in line with planned technology change. As required, liaise with 3rd parties, to advise on appropriate solutions to support requirements. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Support the identification, and where applicable implementation of new tools and systems by defining requirements and testing criteria. Provide guidance and support on delivering the required changes in the organisation to implement agreed new processes. Assist with producing necessary training and guidance notes for the impacted users to adopt new processes.

About you and your experience:

Work effectively as part of a project team and communicate proficiently at all levels both internally and externally. Fully proactive and self-motivated, requiring little management supervision. Attention to detail with a creative and tenacious approach to problem solving. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in analysing data to derive actionable insights, collecting, defining and documenting business and technology requirements. Experience working on projects encompassing both IT and business process change is essential. Capable of gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders. Able to manage a wide range of activities including workshops and project work strands with little or no supervision. Experience working with stakeholders to create current process maps and ideal future state frameworks in line with business and technology transformation programmes. Good understanding of Agile principles and practices Ability to proactively and strategically think ahead of problems and risks to form the working teams and reaction to obstacles and risks that frequently impact business success. Ideally, experience of working in the technology sector, specifically with Financial systems
