Salary: £35,200 to £52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available

As SSEN Transmission prepares for Connection Reform and continues to strengthen business excellence, the Process & Improvement PMO is evolving to become the backbone of governance across several internal value streams. A key part of this transformation is improving the operating processes that support our end-to-end value chain — especially in the early, pre-Gate 0 stage where business needs are assessed and potential solutions are shaped before moving into the project phase.

As Business Analyst, you will play a central role in shaping how our operating processes work in the future, ensuring they are efficient, clearly defined, well governed and supported by the right data and tools. You will support internal governance activities, coordinate multiple sources of project data, and work closely with teams across the business — including IT and digital colleagues — to develop solutions that strengthen both process and system capability.

You will

Lead PMO service delivery for internal governance activities, ensuring processes are well supported and effectively managed. Coordinate multiple project data sources to provide accurate, timely information for governance requirements, working closely with a wide group of stakeholders. Build strong, positive relationships across System Engineering & Investment, Network Development, Project Teams, Engineering, Customer Engagement and Commercial to support clear understanding of process inputs and outputs. Map and analyse operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and handoffs, highlighting opportunities for improvement. Recommend solutions to strengthen PMO services, which may include process redesign, improved data workflows, and enhancements to digital systems and tools.

You have

An understanding of SSEN Transmissions business, goals and values, with familiarity of the LCP framework and the energy sector, including the licence obligations we operate under. A degree or relevant experience in process or change management, business analysis or continuous improvement, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) alongside solid capability using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and SharePoint). Experience in project or process management, ideally with exposure to supporting an internal PMO function. Confidence leading discussions and meetings, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
