Role purpose As a vital member of the Business Application Support Team and the Europe Technology Team, the Business App Support Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Aesop essential finance and supply chain systems. Role responsibilities include, but not limited to – Administering, configuring, and supporting critical business applications, with a primary focus on NetSuite, to support operational functions across Aesop UK and EU locations. Keeping business systems up-to-date and ensuring compliance with Aesop's application support standards. Providing specialist technical support to the Aesop EU Service Desk, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to business applications and processes across key Aesop locations in Europe. Collaborating with Product Managers and Teams to drive continuous improvement of existing business systems and the deployment of new systems across the UK and Europe. Technical Support and Delivery of System Enhancements Work with the Business Application Support Team and the EU Technology Team to ensure comprehensive 2nd-level support for Aesop business systems: Manage incidents, problems and changes through Aesop Service Desk system, including management of support tickets escalated to other vendors. Working with colleagues, monitor business system operation, performance and availability, and rectify any issues. Configure and administer production systems and applications supporting business operations (ERP, business planning, demand planning, budget and forecast, and financial planning applications). Support the technical components of month-end, year-end and stocktake activities. Develop and maintain an understanding of key business functions, with a focus on financial and inventory-management processes. Coordinate external software vendors to investigate issues and assist in providing technical solutions. Coordinate the installation of application enhancements and upgrades. Liaise with the global Business Application Support Team for prompt rectification of any problems or priority issues. Work with Aesop Product Teams, users, colleagues and third-parties to identify and deliver improvements to Aesop business systems: Assist Product Managers and Application Services Manager to perform research and make recommendations on business software products and services. Evaluate, configure, and deploy new business applications and systems, and recommend enhancements to existing applications. Working on one or several technology projects as required, provide strong business analytics skills to assess problems or areas of improvement that can be enhanced through technical solutions. Contribute to Product and Project Teams by managing project deliverables, logging issues, testing, and managing releases using tracking software (Jira). Collaborate with analysts and system owners to test and implement software updates and new software applications. Analyse documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality. Ensure that any new business software or integration connecting into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. Staff Training As necessary, provide training across the EU Technology Team on new and existing business systems. Share knowledge of Aesop business systems with global Service Desk teams, to empower those teams to better support ERP and other finance-management systems. Liaise with finance management to coordinate and perform business system staff training. Proactively determine business application training requirements of finance staff and deliver ongoing training. Reporting & Documentatio Ensure business system documentation and procedures are maintained and kept up to date. Contribute to the organisational Technology Knowledge Base to support end users and other technical staff. Provide non-technical documentation to finance teams to assist with the education of staff. Develop and deliver periodic analysis on the quality and effectiveness of the role support and delivery work. This is a full time position operating with a hybrid working pattern on a 12 month fixed term contract What we are looking for Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment Bachelor degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or similar experience in an Application Support role. Certifications in ERP software systems, or experience in supporting ERP software systems and other business applications, preferred. ITIL certification preferred. Experience maintaining and administering ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred. Experience with systems-improvement projects including deployment of upgrades or new packaged software solutions. Exposure to finance and inventory-management processes, with experience in the fashion / apparel / luxury industries an advantage. Highly self-motivated. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with the ability to influence and encourage others.
