We make health happen This is a highly autonomous, independent role where youâll be responsible for the assurance of operational resilience across Group Functions, focusing on the resilience of all Group Functionsâ operational teams (people, finance, corporate affairs, etc), including business processes, people, critical suppliers, properties, and technology. The scope includes the planning and response to major operational incidents and corporate crises, with and without a technology component. Additionally, this role is responsible for assuring the technical resilience of the technology services provided by Group Functions Technology. The Group Functions Technology (GFT) team is an agile team and whilst this role will be focused on technical and operational resilience, it will also undertake activities in the wider governance, risk and compliance areas, giving great opportunity for diversity, learning, and progression. How youâll help us make health happen Act as Group Functionsâ Local Policy Owner for the Enterprise Operational Resilience Policy. Monitor Group Functions regulatory compliance in relation to Operational Resilience and provide updates to senior management and to the PRA, as requested by the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs teams. Manage the governance of Operational Resilience for Group Functions and report management information to the Operational Resilience Local Policy Sponsor for Group Functions Report management information to the Operational Resilience Committee (Enterprise level) and, when requested, to the Group Functions Executive Team and the Group Functions Leadership Team Embed reporting processes to monitor the effectiveness of controls implemented through Associated Policies to Operational Resilience (Technology Management, Property, Suppliers, People, Wellbeing-Health & Safety, Brand & Reputation) and track Group Functionsâ position against risk appetite. Champion and embed operational resilience as a core competency within Group Functions Oversee the annual review of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA), important business services, impact tolerances, and business continuity and crisis management plans for Group Functions. Ensure Group Functions business resilience requirements are adequately factored into technology resilience capability and tested appropriately. Review and continuously improve Group Functions crisis management processes, learning from past disruption and crises. Oversee the development of playbooks for top operational disruption risks for Group Functions. Design and oversee the delivery of the annual operational resilience testing programme for Group Functions Primary Crisis Coordinator for the Group Functions Crisis Management Team Ensure Technology Resilience is in place and meets the Bupa Enterprise Standards for all GFT provided services. Work with the GFT architecture team, information security team, and the wider risk teams to: Measure and report on KPIs and KRIs, using automation where possible. Support the identification of risks and the preparation of risk mitigation plans, escalating risks where appropriate Contribute to the maintenance of the Bupa Enterprise Standards in relation to technology resilience, ensuring they meet industry best practices and are fit for purpose for all GFT provided service types You Comfortable and confident to work independently in a stand-alone role and also work collaboratively with wider teams Experience in operational resilience, including business continuity and crisis management and in technical resilience, ideally including Cloud Services Strong analytical skills, able to draw concise conclusions from large amounts of unstructured data Effective in business partnering and developing strong working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation, including executives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience of communicating with impact Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to Operational Resilience in the UK Self-motivated capable of operating under pressure and at pace with the ability to manage and prioritise your own time effectively and take decisions proactively.
