Role Overview The radiology service at Cromwell hospital has undergone considerable expansion over the last few years including a recent move into a new diagnostic facility Lexham Gardens. The radiology administrative team is responsible for booking into a range of modalities including: MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, Mammography and DEXA assets. This role would oversee an administrative team within radiology performing both front of house registration and billing as well as the administrative booking service at Cromwell hospital. The role would suit a target driven individual to ensure referrals are being booked within a specified timeframe and responsible for monitoring the telephony system using key performance indicators such as call abandonment and conversion rates to monitor success within the role. The postholder will also bear responsibility for the radiology information system (RIS), organising diaries and templates for teams using the application at Cromwell and Centres. What youâll do To exercise fair and firm leadership, establishing and maintaining high morale in the Radiology department. To monitor the level and standard of work produced by the admin team , guide, coach and advise them as appropriate. To support and identify the training needs by using SECTRA/RIS/PACS for team in Cromwell Radiology, Basinghall and other outpatient clinics and centres to ensure that mandatory training is met and competency forms documented including new starter and refresher training where required. To produce staff duty rotas to meet the activity of the Radiology department across 7 working days To act as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met To analyse customer and patient satisfaction results, complaints and immediate feedback. To work with service Manager and peers towards understanding the root cause and remedying Work closely with the consultant Radiologists for an effective scheduling management ensuring that bookings turnaround are managed and any lack of availability is promptly actioned by negotiating additional cover to meet service demands. Qualifications, Training & Experience requirements Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with employees, consultant Radiologists, colleagues, customers and corporate clients Strong experience of leading teams and people management including evidence of the ability to engage and motivate people Experience of working in a regulated environment Experience of the health and care and / or wellbeing industry Good track record of driving business performance and delivering business results Strong problem solving and project management skills IT proficiency including the use of Microsoft office systems Why Bupa?
