The Role: Care Assistant at Shockerwick House

This is a permanent, full-time position working 44 hours per week on day shifts. As a Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in upholding Bupa's purpose of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives. You will provide person-centred care, supporting residents with their diverse needs, from companionship to essential personal care.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing compassionate support to residents with a wide range of needs, ensuring their independence and honoring their choices.
  • Observing and managing residents' behaviour with sensitivity, diligently documenting and reporting any changes in line with legislative requirements.
  • Assisting residents with their nutritional and hydration needs, encouraging and supporting them to eat and drink according to their individual care plans.
  • Facilitating essential physical and mental stimulation through engaging individual and group activities.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care plans in compliance with regulatory and legal standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • A motivated and positive individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification are desirable.
