Harper Adams has one of the top rates for graduate employment amongst UK higher education institutions and this role holder is responsible for the provision of careers and employability consultancy, including careers information, advice, expertise and guidance alongside other employability interventions with the aim of raising the aspirations of students and ensuring their success in line with the university’s strategic mission.
The post-holder will work as part of a small team working directly with students, academic colleagues and professional support staff to provide quality advice, information and guidance and curriculum consultancy. The postholder will act as a key point of call for careers and the employability of students. The postholder will also connect students with university-wide initiatives, programs and wider employability opportunities.
Ideally the successful candidate will hold:
Undergraduate degree or relevant experienceProfessional qualification in Careers Guidance at level 7Along with experience of delivery of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance in a careers service function/environment, including the creation of resources, face-to-face support and online support, development and delivery of curriculum-based credit bearing career management and employability content and experience of maintenance of positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing the development of good practice and supporting service enhancement
