The Opportunity: Careers Consultant

As a Careers Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of UWL students and graduates. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Providing expert and timely careers advice and guidance to students and graduates.
• Championing employability through curriculum integration, collaborating with academic staff and delivering engaging sessions to student groups.
• Cultivating and nurturing productive partnerships with academic colleagues, university support services, and external employers.
• Researching and developing innovative careers resources for diverse audiences, including print and digital materials.

Key Considerations for Your Application:

• Qualifications: A Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance or equivalent is essential.
• Experience: Proven experience in careers services within a higher education setting, including working with academic teams, is required.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital. The ability to lead initiatives and embed careers education is highly valued.
• Passion & Drive: Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm and a proactive approach to their work.
