Join the forefront of automotive innovation as part of JLR’s Chassis Motion Software & Integration team. We’re offering a unique opportunity for an engineer with a passion for control systems to shape the dynamic behaviour of our next-generation vehicles. This role focuses on the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge model-based control functions for advanced suspension technologies - including active and adaptive systems. You’ll dive deep into the science of vehicle dynamics, creating intelligent control strategies that elevate performance, comfort, and safety. From simulation environments and prototype rigs to real-world vehicle testing, your work will have a direct impact on how our vehicles feel on the road.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Contribute to developing intelligent control systems for class-leading suspension technologies. Design and maintain model-based control functions for active and adaptive suspension Build fault monitoring and state estimation algorithms to improve vehicle performance Validate system behaviour through simulation, rig trials, and occasional real-world testing Support prototype and production-level ECU testing and debugging Create functional, diagnostic, and software requirement specifications with full traceability Contribute to safety and cybersecurity system verification and documentation

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Apply strong technical foundations and analytical skills to deliver innovation with precision. Hands-on experience in model-based control function design Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink for control system development Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and behaviour Clear and confident communication within multidisciplinary engineering teams Ability to troubleshoot, deliver, and document technical solutions
