The Lincoln Medical School is at an exciting stage in developing a new, independent, undergraduate curriculum for validation by the GMC as part of ambitions to be added to the list of organisations who are approved to award primary medical qualifications.
September 2025 marked the arrival of the first cohort of independent gateway year students with students registered on the five-year programme arriving in September 2026. This is part of the planned independence from the University of Nottingham, with students on the UoN course now being taught-out.
This new post, for an established senior clinician, will oversee the professional development of students on the six and five year programmes, with a particular focus on developing professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.
Applicants must be GMC registered with a current licence to practice and be committed to remaining clinically active throughout their role. You will join the Senior Management Team of the School and contribute significantly to the strategic development of LMS, including new dental programmes, postgraduate delivery and scholarly outputs.
The post would be especially suitable for someone from a general medical specialty to support the wider balance of clinical experience within the School. We welcome applications from all senior clinicians, including GPs, Consultants and SAS doctors.
Please include a current CV as part of your application.
Please note that this post requires an Enhanced DBS check.
For an informal conversation about the role please contact Amy Leader, at [email protected], to arrange a time to meet with Professor Jamie Read.
Closing Date: 09 Jan 2026
