QMHA presents a unique role where you will rotate through a comprehensive array of specialties, including Medicine, Surgery, Neurology and Rehabilitation, Anaesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care, Theatre, and Diagnostics.

As a Clinical Support RVN, you will gain hands-on experience across all facets of referral nursing. Collaborating with dedicated specialist nursing teams, you will be immersed in a learning environment where new skills are acquired daily. Each specialty offers exciting challenges and promises a rewarding and diverse experience, making every day a valuable step in your professional development.

Key Advantages for Candidates:

  • Unparalleled Training and Development: Referral nursing experience is not a prerequisite. QMHA provides comprehensive specialist training and ongoing support, ensuring you have the resources to excel. This is an ideal pathway for RVNs looking to transition into referral practice.
  • Diverse Speciality Exposure: The rotational nature of this role offers broad exposure to cutting-edge veterinary medicine and surgery. You'll develop a robust skill set across multiple disciplines, enhancing your adaptability and knowledge base significantly.
  • Career Advancement: This position is designed to foster growth. The continuous learning and exposure to complex cases will equip you for future specialist roles and advanced veterinary nursing.
  • Exceptional Benefits Package: QMHA understands the importance of work-life balance and employee well-being. They offer a generous reward package including:
    • A competitive and attractive pension scheme.
    • A generous 30 days of annual leave, plus concessionary days and bank holidays.
    • Access to free in-house Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and funding for external CPD opportunities.
    • A range of family-friendly policies, including adoption, maternity, and paternity pay and leave.
    • On-site amenities such as a café and restaurant.
    • Free membership to a newly built Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, featuring a gym, badminton, climbing wall, Zumba, yoga, and Pilates classes.
    • A cycle-to-work scheme.
    • A free mini-bus service to and from Potters Bar station and Hawkshead Campus, easing your commute.

Key Considerations for Candidates:

  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that includes participation in a weekend rota. Candidates should be prepared for this commitment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Location: The role is based at a referral hospital which offers excellent facilities and a supportive environment.
  • Commitment to Learning: The success in this role relies on a proactive and eager-to-learn attitude. The opportunity is rich with educational potential, and candidates who embrace this will thrive.

This role represents a significant opportunity for an RVN eager to build a distinguished career in referral veterinary nursing. QMHA’s commitment to professional development, combined with their supportive environment and comprehensive benefits, makes this a highly attractive prospect for ambitious veterinary professionals.
