The Opportunity: Engineer the Future of Global Finance

This Application Support Senior Analyst role is strategically positioned at the core of Citi's Global Markets e-trading infrastructure. You will be instrumental in providing critical Run The Bank (RTB) Production Support, specifically focusing on Client Connectivity and Futures Trading Execution. This immersive experience offers a unique window into the intricacies of global markets and the fast-paced world of e-trading.

What You'll Do: Drive Stability and Innovation

As an Application Support Senior Analyst, you will be the vital link between our cutting-edge applications and the users who rely on them. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing rapid and effective resolutions to application issues, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Proactively driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements across application systems.
  • Maintaining and supporting applications and their operating environments to meet and exceed service level expectations.
  • Conducting essential daily checks, continuous monitoring, and seamless regional handovers.
  • Performing critical same-day risk reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive technical support documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximize the value and potential of applications.
  • Assessing and escalating the risk and impact of production issues to management in a timely and clear manner.
  • Ensuring robust storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly.
  • Formulating and defining scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution initiatives.
  • Developing and reviewing application contingency plans to guarantee user availability.
  • Collaborating with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and tooling enhancements.
  • Actively participating in application releases, from development and testing through to production deployment.
  • Conducting post-implementation analysis to validate system design and functionality.
  • Evaluating the implications of technology adoption on the current environment, identifying and communicating risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
  • Ensuring adherence to essential procedures and contributing to the definition of operating standards and processes.
  • Acting as a key liaison between trading floor users, internal technology groups, and external vendors.
  • Raising and resolving issues with appropriate technology and business teams, strictly adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Mentoring and coaching new or junior analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Applying sound judgment and analytical skills to navigate complex and unique situations.
  • Directly contributing to business success through the quality of your work and that of your team.

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Relevant experience in an Application Support role.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and a strong aptitude for learning new ones.
  • Excellent execution capabilities and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with the FIX protocol.
  • Experience with Unix environments.
  • Strong understanding of SQL.
  • Direct experience in e-trading, including client connectivity, market data, and financial markets.
  • Intermediate coding skills are considered a strong advantage.

Education: A Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
