We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Commercial Analyst on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
This role reports to the Lead Commercial Insights Manager and is based in our head office in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong analytical skills and a drive to make a measurable difference in achieving financial targets. Utilising a range of skills and systems, you will play a key role in helping the business to develop a greater understanding of our customers and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Help to shape and deliver the commercial analysis and insights strategy to guide our commercial approach as a business and drive revenue growthProvide regular and ad-hoc revenue reporting and analysis, generating insights into our customers and markets and presenting findings to a wide range of stakeholders including senior level executivesSupport research projects, providing input to market research proposals and capturing the learnings of research to improve internal analysisConduct financial modelling to evaluate the expected revenue benefits of business cases and analyse the observed impacts once projects are delivered to assess whether benefits are being realisedSupport with the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, helping to increase forecast accuracy and ensuring all forecasts are realistic but challengingBe an expert on revenue performance for the rest of the business, helping other departments to understand what drives revenue performance and making sure commercial impacts are considered in all business initiativesKey Skills & Experience
Educated to at least degree level or equivalent experienceHighly skilled in numerical analysis, with the ability to undertake detailed analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and reportingHigh level of ability with analysis and reporting systems, particularly Microsoft Excel but experience with Tableau and Power BI would also be beneficialStrong commercial acumen, with the ability to accurately assess the factors influencing performance and make recommendations to optimise commercial resultsExcellent ability to interpret business requirements and deliver coherent responses to requests, using strong communication skills to tailor your approach to the audienceAbility to visualise, present and communicate complex issues in a clear and concise mannerSelf-motivation, positivity and determination to deliver high quality outcomes in your work, both individually and as part of a teamAbility to grasp and solve complex issues and systems quickly and independentlyAs well as a competitive salary, we’ll also offer you:
