Amplifi is the investment and innovation arm of dentsu across all media channels and entertainment content. The proposition is based on the delivery of value for all in everything we do. Our focus is to deliver the best possible media value for clients through leveraged media buying, sustainable media income and enable innovation with the supply-side with product, services and capabilities. We’re hiring a Commercial Director as part of our London based team on a hybrid working basis Role Purpose This role will work across all pillars of Amplifi including Partnerships, Trading, Investment Management, Alternative Investment and Entertainment and collaborate with other key stakeholders across the Media, Creative and CXM Practices to package our commercial solutions. Key responsibilities Develop and deliver robust and rigorous commercial processes, ensuring commercial products are selected in line with business needs and are providing real added value for our clients, partners and dentsu. Build commercial models for new revenue streams and business opportunities, with a strong focus on our dynamo workstream. Analyse and challenge business opportunities, including development of materials supporting those opportunities for review by Amplifi and dentsu leadership. Review and analyse processes and models that can deliver tangible business outcomes and aid in the development of strategies to monetise this by providing commercial analysis and business planning support. Support the strategic and commercial direction of the business by helping to define where our next commercial focus areas should be, explore what risks are on the horizon and define approaches to overcome them. Support initiatives to train and enable sales across our network, contributing to presentations and animating commercial sessions as required. Work with leaders across the world and act as a key commercial partner to support local markets in building new business opportunities, sharing best practices and educating our network on best-in-class commercial offerings. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. Leverage this knowledge to position Amplifi as a leader in supply-side management. Regularly communicate with dentsu leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on performance, market developments, and key initiatives. Monitor and analyse market trends to adjust strategies and maximize profitability. Skills/Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in commercial strategy, business development, or sales leadership roles, ideally within the media, advertising, or technology sectors. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing complex client and partner relationships. Deep understanding of media buying, programmatic advertising, and supply-side management solutions, with expertise in digital advertising technologies, data, and analytics. Strong ability to develop and execute long-term commercial strategies, analyze market opportunities, and drive business results. Excellent negotiation and deal-making abilities with experience in closing high-value contracts and strategic partnerships. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong track record of delivering across all digital media types and channels, with solid commercial mindset to translate strategic goals into operational and commercial opportunities Strong Leadership across multiple stakeholders, ability to manage within a matrix structure Proven ability to effectively communicate strategic & innovative ideas with clarity and simplicity Able to provide growth through commercial opportunities and turn them into reality. Strong numeracy, negotiation, problem solving and communication skills Comfortable working in a global organisation working closely with global & local markets Excellent understanding of digital marketing & media strategy, partners, platforms & technology Excellent ability to story-tell and simplify digital complexity to help influence stakeholders What we offer This is a permanent role The team is based in our London office but operates under hybrid working arrangements.
