We're hiring a Commercial & Finance Manager at Merkle in Sofia. Purpose The purpose of the Commercial Manager is to be part of the Commercial team within dentsu Media, which drives profitable growth, mitigates risk, and maximises growth across both dentsu Media's new and existing client businesses, with a primary focus on Global Media Clients and pitches. Additional responsibilities include: New business pitches: Close collaboration with the Commercial Lead on an account to design and implement the commercial strategy for the pitch After the commercial strategy for the pitch has been developed, the Manager will lead the interaction with local market teams to prepare the details to support our fee proposal. This will include drafting a detailed briefing to markets, responding to market questions, analysis of market submissions, consolidation of submissions to produce a fee/profitability summary for internal approval and then submission to the client (with identification and resolution of issues, with Director support, along the way) During the pitch process, the Manager will be expected to question market submissions, pushing back and making suggestions where relevant, to achieve the underlying objective that our fee proposal is profitable yet competitive Together with the Commercial Lead, be at the centre of all commercial considerations on a pitch Draft a clear, concise commercial summary (including fee proposal) for internal approval Be a key point of contact on finance and commercial matters. This will often mean working to tight deadlines On most pitches, manage the Analyst input Other Driving process improvement for both new business pitches and existing clients Working on internal projects within the dentsu Media Commercial team. Qualifications and experience Minimum of 6 years professional experience, including experience within a role demonstrating commercial awareness and analysis skills Strong academics demonstrating exceptional financial and numerical literacy Media experience is desirable Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA Skills and attributes Commercial awareness and desire to develop further in this area, coupled with an interest in the media industry. Strong analytical skills (supported by excellent Excel skills and ability to assimilate large volumes of data), supported by a rigorous and meticulous approach Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Superbly organised, able to plan and co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines. A dynamic and highly motivated individual able to work with colleagues and clients of all levels and markets.
