Youâll help us make health happen by Supporting our kitchen team to cater to residents, visitors and the public across the village Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations against a set menu to a consistent and high-quality standard Maintain a clean and hygienic working area Respond to residents and customers dietary needs and personal preferences Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Commis Chef with excellent communication skills and a willingness to follow instructions. The ideal candidate will have relevant training and culinary qualifications, an understanding of Health and Safety standards, and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. An up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) and previous experience in a catering department or kitchen. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of working in a care environment and stock control, along with the ability to prepare simple meals.
