Key Considerations for Candidates:

• Geographical Requirement: This role is based from one of our Scottish locations: Perth, Aberdeen, or Inverness. Successful applicants must be able to be based from one of these sites.
• Site and Office Mix: The role will be partially site and office based, requiring a willingness to travel. A full driver's licence is essential.
• Technical Expertise: A strong foundation in electrical engineering is paramount, with an electrical engineering degree or relevant experience being a requirement. You should possess a deep understanding of electrical power systems and their operating standards.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience in the electricity Transmission industry is crucial, with a focus on commissioning, engineering, and construction knowledge.
• Regulatory Understanding: A solid grasp of industry regulations and codes, including the STC Codes of Practice, Grid Code, Outage Planning, and System Planning, is expected.
• Leadership and Communication: The ability to demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills is key. You will also need excellent communication abilities to lia effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
