Compliance Learning Specialist- 12 Months FTC

Join us as a Learning Specialist within Compliance for 12-Months FTC where youll play a key role in building the future capability of the function and supporting colleagues to thrive. Acting as a trusted learning partner, youll use your consultancy and analytical skills to work with stakeholders at all levels—identifying learning needs and translating them into innovative, high‑impact solutions.

Youll lead the design and delivery of engaging learning experiences that not only inspire colleagues but also directly support business priorities. To be successful as Compliance Learning Specialist AVP, the ideal candidate must have/be:

Background in designing learning & development programmes, training, and organisational interventions and Skilled in designing learning for others to deliver (train‑the‑trainer style), with optional confidence to deliver sessions if needed

Strategic thinker with experience in organisational development and workforce capability building

Strong understanding of the full learning lifecycle and how to design effective learning solutions and experience developing programmes in key capability areas such as AI literacy, data literacy, and digital skills

Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with digital tools

L&D qualification not essential but advantageous

Self‑starter with resilience, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously

This role is based in Glasgow with 3 anchor days, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Purpose of the role

To design and implement programmes and initiatives that support the growth and development of the banks employees and leaders.

Accountabilities

Development and implementation of training and development programmes and initiatives, including creation and execution of training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities.Collaboration with HR and hiring managers to analyse the current and future development needs of the organisation.Design and delivery of classroom and digital based training content, programmes and associated User Experience.Management of onboarding programmes including training, onboarding materials, introduction meetings and providing support throughout the onboarding process.Analysis of data and metrics to measure success of talent development programmes and initiatives.Development and implementation of coaching and mentoring programmes, train the trainer programmes for facilitators and relevant educational materials.Develop and implement talent pipelining processes, identifying, managing, progressing and promoting talent capability across the bank with succession management and career progression.

'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
