The Connected Care Senior Manager will join Bupa high‑performing Connected Care Team, a newly formed group operating across Poland and London and led by the Chief Connected Care Officer. Our Connected Care model is a strategic priority focussing on delivering integrated healthcare funding with physical & digital health provision solutions across our global businesses. This role will play an important part in supporting the Chief Connected Care Officer, helping shape and deliver one of the organisation most important global priorities The role holder will shape and advance the Connected Care strategy across the Group, ensuring alignment, momentum, and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. You will lead global strategic projects from end to end—translating data into insight, identifying opportunities and risks across the healthcare landscape, and producing high‑quality strategic outputs for senior executives, the Board, and wider governance groups. The role also requires strong external awareness, monitoring market and competitor activity to inform decision‑making. A core part of the role will be elevating the visibility, influence, and impact of Connected Care across Bupa by building effective relationships and collaborating across Group functions and global business units. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of a global health business, shape strategy at scale, and make a lasting impact on how Bupa delivers connected, personalised care for millions. How you’ll help us make health happen: Lead projects and generate insight to facilitate decision making for the Board, Executives, and others Play a key role (thought leadership, project and stakeholder management with limited supervision) on overseeing Connected Care progress and initiatives across Bupa Group, to inform global Connected Care strategy, progress, and execution. This will include preparing compelling, executive-ready presentations and reports on Connected Care activity across all businesses for senior leadership and the Board. Provide a structured approach to problem solving, evaluating strategic issues in a way that produces innovative insights and generates strategic recommendations that shape the way forward for the business. This will require both quantitative and qualitative insights generated through research, market and financial analysis, and innovative and creative thinking for complex questions the business is grappling with. Seamlessly collaborate with and provide support to the global Connected Care team Create an effective remote team with the Connected Care Officer and a Poland-based Head of Connected Care in the same team, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of objectives Provide day-to-day support to the Chief Connected Care officer to enable them to deliver the function mandate (e.g., preparation of short briefings, external presentations, medium-term work planning, etc.) Occasional travel required to support team collaboration and engagement with Market Units Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Bupa Build effective, direct relationships with key stakeholders across the business and MUs, maintaining close engagement to stay fully up to date on Connected Care progress and developments Act as a key liaison between the Connected Care Officer and Market/Business Units, ensuring effective communication and alignment of Connected Care priorities Represent Connected Care within the Group CSTO Team, working closely with the Transformation Office on all Connected Care KPIs, and fostering collaboration and alignment across any broader strategic initiatives Strengthen strategy skills & healthcare knowledge Facilitate skills transfer across the Connected Care team and across the MUs through formal and informal coaching. Proactively deepen both personal and team knowledge and expertise on Bupa, the healthcare market and broader business strategies and issues where relevant. The key skills and experiences needed to fulfil the role are: An undergraduate degree is required, MBA or MPP is desirable Professional qualifications in finance or strategy is preferred. Significant experience in management consulting or roles in strategy, planning, commercial, business development, or finance. Knowledge of health insurance and the healthcare industry and relevant business areas highly desirable but not essential. A strong strategic thinker with proven experience shaping and delivering strategy within complex organisations, underpinned by a solid understanding of strategic analysis principles and deep expertise in strategy tools and frameworks. Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical capability, with proven experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research, independently generating actionable insights, and analysing complex datasets. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analytics/visualisation tools (e.g., Thinkcell), Highly self‑managing and resourceful, with a proven ability to prioritise effectively, lead cross functional projects independently, and deliver high‑quality outputs under time pressure. Demonstrates initiative in identifying and overcoming barriers, applying pragmatic solutions, and navigating the organisation to keep work moving forward. Proven ability to manage senior‑level stakeholders and influence without formal authority. Confident communicator with strong executive presence and excellent written, visual, and verbal communication. Demonstrated professionalism, judgement, and ability to handle confidential information. Comfortable managing competing priorities, shifting demands, and ambiguity. A curious, collaborative and commercially focussed mindset.
