The Opportunity in Detail:

As a Billing Controller, you will be instrumental in maintaining an efficient and accurate billing function within a strong control framework. Your efforts will directly contribute to streamlining billing processes and enhancing the overall business operations. Key Responsibilities & What You'll Be Doing:

  • Achieving Cash Collection Targets: Directly contributing to the company's financial performance by meeting set cash collection goals, managed by the Credit Control and Billing Manager.
  • Proactive Debt Management: Regularly reviewing overdue accounts, engaging with debtors, and resolving disputes to ensure timely settlement of outstanding debts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaising effectively with care homes and Regional Directors to promptly address queries and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Accurate Reconciliations: Processing customer reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Risk Mitigation: Escalating potential bad debt or legal accounts to the Credit Control & Billing Manager for strategic handling.
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring all credit control and system records are meticulously accurate and up-to-date.
  • Performance Reporting: Providing essential reports on monthly performance, sales ledger credit balances, and aged debt concerns.
  • Maximizing Opportunities: Identifying and acting on opportunities to optimize cash collection.
  • Process Improvement: Assisting the Credit Control & Billing Manager in the implementation of procedural and system enhancements.
  • Transaction Processing: Regularly processing debit bank transactions and refunds.
