Internal Opportunity: Culture Change Delivery Partner
The Royal College of Art is entering an exciting and ambitious period of transformation as we move towards our bicentenary vision of becoming the world’s most influential art and design community. Central to achieving this ambition is our people and our culture.
We are therefore seeking a Culture Change Delivery Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping how change is experienced across the College. This role will focus on the cultural and behavioural dimensions of transformation, ensuring that our change programmes are engaging, inclusive and sustainable, and that they reflect RCA’s values of Collaboration, Curiosity, Inclusion and Integrity. This is a full time role, available for current employees of the RCA and is fixed term until 31 July 2027.
Working closely with the Portfolio Office, Head of Portfolio Engagement, HR Business Partners and senior leaders, you will help design and embed approaches that strengthen engagement, wellbeing and cultural alignment. You will bring insight, structure and creativity to how we lead change, enabling colleagues across academic and professional services to adopt new ways of working with confidence.
What you’ll be doing
Leading culture-centred change initiatives that complement structural and operational change.Using staff insight, engagement data and culture diagnostics to inform priorities and measure progress.Designing and delivering practical tools, workshops and resources that help leaders embed RCA’s values through change.Leading the delivery and follow-up of staff engagement surveys, translating feedback into meaningful action.Supporting leaders and managers to build trust, inclusion, resilience and psychological safety in their teams.Developing and embedding RCA’s Wellbeing Framework to mitigate change fatigue and strengthen organisational resilience.Ensuring change programmes actively promote equity, accessibility and fairness, aligned with the EDI Strategy and Race Equality Charter commitments.Acting as a visible ambassador for the People & Culture team and a trusted partner across the College.About you You will bring experience in organisational development, culture change or people-focused change management, ideally in a complex or transforming environment. You’ll be confident working with data and insight, skilled at influencing and storytelling, and motivated by creating positive staff experiences through change. Experience in higher education, the public sector or creative industries, and familiarity with inclusive change or EDI work, would be an advantage.
