What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like:

• Stay abreast of market developments, analyze their underlying drivers, and provide insightful answers to investment consultants and clients.
• Conduct in-depth research on various asset classes, identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks.
• Support investment consultants by formulating recommendations tailored to clients' unique circumstances.
• Participate in client meetings to present high-level economic and market perspectives, with the readiness to delve into detailed analysis when required.
• Develop customized client reports and strategic documents.

• Developing tactical views for our US, Canadian, and UK delegated/OCIO teams, and for larger, more active clients.
• Formulating medium-term views for clients considering shifts in their strategic positioning or seeking guidance on their de-risking journey.
• Establishing long-term strategic asset class views that inform our Capital Market Assumptions process.
• Providing economic forecasts and conducting deterministic scenario analysis, including work on climate change impacts.

Key Considerations for Aspiring Candidates:

• Intellectual Rigor: A strong analytical foundation is crucial. Candidates with degrees in Economics, Mathematics, or Finance are preferred.
• Technical Prowess: Excellent numeracy and technical skills are essential. Experience with Excel VBA, Python, or R coding will be advantageous.
• Professional Development: Professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, FIA, or FFA are highly regarded and demonstrate a commitment to the field.
• Communication Excellence: Articulate verbal and written communication skills are vital for engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
