Data Analytics Senior Analyst - Core Banking

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics Senior Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing complex core banking data, uncovering valuable insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making within the organization. You will be responsible for end-to-end data analysis, from data extraction and cleaning to developing insightful reports and visualizations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of core banking systems, data warehousing principles, and data visualization best practices.

About the Team:

Core Accounts Data Platform (CDP) is part of Core Account team within Services group (TTS) and is responsible for building a scalable, high-performance data platform on Big Data technologies (Spark, Scala, Hive, Hadoop) along with Kafka/Java and AI technologies to support core account data needs across multiple lines of businesses. As a tenant on the Vanguard ecosystem, CDP ingests, enriches, and publishes data in both real-time and batch modes. The platform enables downstream consumption through standardized canonical data models (CDMs) and plays a critical role in regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and statement generation. We are a collaborative and fast-paced team focused on innovation, data quality, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-depth analysis of data attributes related to core banking systems, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.Develop a deep understanding of core banking data models, including customer, account, transaction, and product data.Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various core banking systems.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, data lineage, and data quality rules.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics, particularly in the core banking domain.Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data analytics tools and technologies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.Experience in a data analytics role, with a strong focus on core banking data.Proven experience working with large and complex datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and principles.Experience with ER modeling and data modeling tools.Knowledge of core banking platforms such as FLEXCUBE, Finacle, or FIS is a significant plus.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role will be based out of our London campus but will be considered as a hybrid role with up to 2 days a week working from home
